Everyone waited for years, but now Nissan has unveiled its latest fully electric transition, the brand new Nissan Micra EV, which pushes towards electric cars and hybrid technology. This compact Nissan Micra EV 2025 will bring fresh energy to the electric car market; it was designed and conceptualized by Nissan London Office.

The new Nissan Micra features circular daytime running lights, elegantly divided by the main headlights at the front, giving the car an endearing, playful appearance. The company has revealed its plans and lineup of new, updated vehicles designed to attract customers. As it is from the sixth generation, the Japanese automaker intends to roll out various new models over the next two years. Even though we’ve said that the emphasis is on electric automobiles, hybrids and gas-powered vehicles still have their importance. The Nissan Micra EV 2025 will come out by the end of this year.

NISSAN MICRA EV LAUNCHING THIS YEAR

Nissan Micra EV Battery and Range

Nissan Micra has undergone substantial development into younger electric models. The all-new Nissan Micra EV caters to people looking for environmentally friendly vehicles. It has two battery choices: a 40kWh and a larger 52kWh one. The new Micra EV is set to exceed expectations set by its Renault sibling by surpassing the 400km (248 miles) mark on a single one-time charge.

This marks a shift towards an all-electric graphical perspective, as all of the Micras sold, even in India, have pre-combustion engines. With the newer features, the Micra is expected to fly off shelves.

Additionally, it will be equipped with Renault Group’s small AmpR platform, which ensures the two battery variants can be attached while still enabling the range that city drivers and other consumers are looking for.

The 40kWh battery version will accommodate a more limited range of just below 200 miles, while the 52kWh variant will extend the boundaries with a range of 248 miles, suitable for long journeys. Although Nissan hasn’t revealed exact power and torque figures, it’s believed that the standard variants should perform similarly to the Renault 5, which is expected to have options for about 118bhp or 148bhp.

There is also talk of a Micra Nismo with a higher power possibility from the Alpine A290, which has a whopping 218hp and acceleration times of 6.4 seconds. When combined with a sufficient driving range, this could be an exciting driving experience.

As the Micra EV begins production, it will share the same line with the Renault 5 at the Douai factory, emphasizing that both models share the same platform and technology.

Nissan Micra EV Overview

Design & Exterior, Performance & Specifications

The Micra EV, built in France, benefits from the Renault-Nissan Marriage on the CMF-BEV platform that it shares with the Renault 5. Except for the puppy-dog headlights that offer a blistering charm to the new Micra EV, the car’s design is also inspired by the 20-23EV motorsport-themed concept.

Nissan global design head Alfonso Albaisa described puppy-dog headlights as offering a friendly face to the car. On the contrary, the production version dials back on some of the concept’s sharper features, including the dull wheel cover, matte-black wheel skirts, and conventional side view mirrors. Moreover, the broad light band on the front bumper has now been replaced by a silver decoration. The automobile has also lost the rear spoiler incorporated in the concept version.

The Nissan Micra may have a shapely body like that of the Renault 5, but it also clasps design elements of Nissan’s heritage. The London-based designers have previously sketched softer shapes, while the round bulging eyesake headlights remember the third-generation Micra. This approach is unique as the Micra EV does not resemble the Renault and has its personality. The car’s front shape with the profound headlights, which have substantially rounded stripes for running lights, undoubtedly gives the Micra an elevated look, making it look like a Mini Cooper and, most importantly, a distinct character.

Nissan Micra EV Interior & Features

The details in the interior are still wireframe. However, Nissan Micra’s interior design indicates an intention to make a more advanced and more straightforward interface for an electric-powered vehicle. Moreover, the Micra will have different performance levels; an entry-level version will have a 94hp engine that is expected to get about 186 miles on a charge, while the larger 52kWh battery will extend the range up to 248 miles. In this regard, the Micra EV has advantages for driving in a city and for long distances. To emphasize the vision of an all-electric future, other strategies like relaunching the global portfolio with the 3rd generation Leaf and new Mike’s fuels would further bolster the company’s existence.

Market & Availability

Projected sales of the Micra EV will begin at year-end alongside the order production of the Renault 5 at the Douai factory in France. As part of the increasing EV segment, Micra EV will greatly assist Nissan in its goal for electrification and satisfy the needs of modern city drivers who seek a chic and environmentally friendly automobile.

Nissan Micra Return to India in Electric form

Nissan Micra was stopped in India in 2020 due to low sales volume and the high cost of upgrading to meet BS6 emission standards. We may see the Nissan Micra car EV debut in India in 2026 as a Nissan Micra EV priced at around Rs. 10 lakh.

Conclusion

Nissan Micra EV has yet again proved undeterred in pursuing high levels of customer satisfaction, sustainability, and better business results. The company is working on various product innovations, and more information about new models will become available closer to their set release dates. Be on the lookout for updates on these new innovations as Nissan strives to improve its product lineup and stands by its dedication to the future of mobility.
